Effexor And Xanax

Effexor and xanax, Last week I went to the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. It is an annual August event that is simulcast live from outside Chicago to over 120 locations in North America and then video cast later to another 20 international sites. It runs 2.5 days and has some of the top Christian and non-Christian leadership speakers. This is my second year to attend right here in Orlando. Registration was $135 since we have an organization membership in the Willow Creek Association. It's the cheapest professional conference of this type that you'll find available with excellent speakers, effexor and xanax. All of them were good, but I think my top three this year were Bono (yes, Bono of U-2 fame), Ashish Nanda, PhD (professor at the Harvard Business School) and Wayne Cordiero (Pastor of a huge church in Oahu). Other speakers included Pastor and Federal Congressman Jim Meeks, Jim Collins (Build to Last and Good to Great), Andy Stanley, Patrick Lencioni (Five Dysfunctions of a Team and several other leadership best sellers), Peg Neuhauser and of course Bill Hybels.
Bono was interviewed about his work with the poor and with AIDS in Africa. I was impressed by his depth of knowledge, his application of Scripture to world crisis, Effexor help you lose weight, his passion and the fact that rock stars do have brains ... Effexor and xanax, he is a really brilliant guy. The fact that he sought out Bill Hybels a few years ago to engage him and the Church in the war against poverty and the AIDS pandemic shows that he is both resourceful and willing to throw his considerable influence around in all sorts of contexts to affect the needy in Africa.

Dr. Nanda was a total unknown to me and I have to admit that I almost blew off that session. I'm glad I didn't. Using business principles, theory and data, he showed the importance of attracting the right people into your organization, effexor and xanax. A lot of people just want to go after the "stars" ... big names who have big reputations. He demonstrated how much of the success of the high profile big name person is due to the environment (the people and organizational ethos) of the place where they are shining. Unless you bring their whole team, the likelihood that they are going to have similar success in the new organization is small. Effexor and xanax, As they experience lack of success, they tend to bring down those around them. Important stuff there for organizations and churches who want to hire/appoint the biggest talent. Beware ... there be dragons out there.

Pastor Wayne Cordeiro was an amazingly transparent man. He has build up a church of something like 12,000 (maybe it was more), effexor and xanax. He is your typical hard driving, highly successful type A personality. He moves from one success in ministry at the church to another. Nothing stops him ... or at least it felt that way until he hit the burn out wall, effexor xr prescription savings. Effexor and xanax, He shared his experiences (quite humorous but probably totally unnerving in the midst of them) and some broad principles that apply to all of us. The one that spoke to me most was the one that I used for the title of this post.

It was interesting that he got onto this, because just two days earlier one of the other speakers (Pastor Andy Stanley, another highly successful pastor of a mega church in Atlanta) had shared that the best leadership decision he had ever made was to tell the church he had 45 hours a week to give them in ministry and then he would walk away and spend time with his family. It sounded really good, except that it only works for the professional church workers. All the rest of us, including those of us who are professional para-church workers, have to give our 40-50 hours per week at work and then volunteer for church ministry on top of that. Stanley's paradigm sets up a false dichotomy of ministry or family, effexor and xanax.

Cordeiro, on the other hand, stated that ministry/job is ministry and family is ministry. They are both on this long continuum of ministry. They are not opposed to one another. There are times when you can balance neatly between them both and give equal attention to each. Effexor and xanax, There are other times when one or the other needs greater attention. In life it isn't as simple as Stanley's dichotomy. Attention flows back and forth on the continuum. Flouride effexor, I know what it is like to have been a workaholic in ministry. Nearly twenty years ago I went through a transformation that brought the two passions of my life (my family and my ministry) into a balanced continuum. My heart and experience really identified with Cordeiro's model, effexor and xanax. I'm sure that Andy Stanley is doing what the Lord has led him to do and He is obviously blessing his ministry and his family. I still am more drawn to Cordeiro's model.

I highly recommend the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. Check it out on the web. It is probably coming next year to a place near you. It's worth the investment of a few bucks and two and a half days.
