I'm most of the way through this book - "The New Faces of Christianity: Believing the Bible in the Global South" by Philip Jenkins. It's really interesting but not necessarily a quick read about how Christians in places like Africa and Asia read and understand the Bible. One passage continues to intrigue me:
Long term effexor headache, A story told by Musimbi Kanyoro suggests just what a text can mean in a communal setting. She reports reading a Pauline text in a northern Kenyan community, concluding with the good wishes that Paul sent to thousand years ago to the Corinthian church, "My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus." "The community, which had been listening silently, responded in unison, 'Thank you, Paul.' They were thanking Paul for sending them greetings, not the reader for reading the text to them." (pages 26 and 27)
Wow! The Word of God was so fresh to these Kenyan pastorists that they took even the greetings as meant for them. That's how fresh I want the Word to be to me. When I read it, I want to spontaneously hear myself saying, "Thank you, God.". Effexor xr side effects increasing dosage. Effexor compared to lexapro. Effexor withdrawal experiences.

Stopping effexor xr, Last week Lynda and I went to the Senior Leadership Retreat for Wycliffe USA. It is an annual event we look forward to with anticipation. These folks are our support group in the ministry. Zoloft and effexor drug interaction, Each holds a position of significant responsibility and authority and knows the hard knocks of leadership. The group is open and transparent with each other in a refreshing way.

This year we went to the Lakeside Inn on Lake Dora, stopping effexor xr. At the entrance to the hotel there is a small train that takes visitors on a three hour trip around the north end of the lake. We left at 5:00pm in lovely sunlight and return just after 8:00, effexor side affects drug interactions, having enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a crescent moon, in addition to a tremendous five course meal. Effexor and severe constipation, What a treat.
One of the things we have been doing in leadership this year is "getting the right people into the right seats of the bus." That's borrowed from Jim Collins' book "Good to Great." The organizer of our retreat captured that with the sign welcoming us to the train. It is a huge privilege to be a part of the ministry of Bible translation ... even more so to be a part of the leadership team.

First of all he will organize all the cars on the road according to their color and size. Then he'll make sure that he has 10 of them to every 1 that he allows Trey to have because after all, effexor and pulmonary hypertension, he is the #1 Grandson. If there are other drivers on the road who transgress by driving across the line or signalling right while turning left, I can hear him now. "Excuse me. Effexor works great cures depression, Excuse me. Actually you turned left, but you had your right signal on."

He's a very compassionate soul, so if he ever comes across an accident, we'll be able to count on Adam stopping to help ... after he gets all the injured lined up according to gender and height. Effexor xr combined with wellbutrin, He might even sort by color, but hopefully he won't carry his color sorting into segregating people. He certainly has no segregationist tendencies now, so may he continue to be color blind with people.

Adam is just delightful and unique, effexor works great cures depression. Brilliant beyond belief. OCD like his grandma ... or maybe that's like his babu. Most people say like his babu, but Adam and I really know the correct answer. Effexor works great cures depression, That's actually a real point of convergence for Adam and I ... we're always right. It's a gift, dysthymia and effexor.

Happy Birthday Adam. Your Babu loves you very much ... and I promise not to break your leg this year.

Effexor Withdrawal Pregnancy
0 Comments Published by russ October 13th, 2006 in Fun Stuff, Random ThoughtsEffexor withdrawal pregnancy, Lynda and I went on our first boat cruise last month. It wasn't an ocean liner with round the clock food, climbing walls and a pool on every deck. It was way better than that. Instead we spent four days with our long time friends Bob and Robyn on their 1971, 57 foot Criss Craft motor yatch. It's their part time home, moored in Scapoose along a channel of the Columbia River.

The "Serene" is a great wooden hulled boat with a very comfortable salon, three staterooms, three heads (toilets), two showers, a good sized galley (kitchen), a dining nook, forward and aft patios off the main deck, and a fly bridge.

It has a huge generator to run all the electricals and two massive diesel motors to push it through the water at up to 16 knots (about 20 mph). Bob and Robyn have been restoring it since they got it two years ago. I am very impressed with all they have done. Bob is even a certified diesel mechanic now. He could have used those skills when he took apart the elevator in the mortuary he and I lived in 35 years ago ... but that's another story.
We spent the first day and night at the mooring in Scapoose, mostly just visiting and getting caught up on our lives. Bob and I went to junior high together and were roomies in college. I should say that another couple, Mike and Ellen, were planning to join us, aleve effexor withdrawals, but Mike got violently sick just before the trip. Mike, Ellen, Bob, Robyn, Lynda and I have friendships which span over 40 years. We sure missed Mike and Ellen. Friendships like these are a gift from God.
The second day we cruised down to the Williamette River and into Portland where we docked at the public moorage. Cost us a whole $6 to stay 24 hours. Downtown Portland has been wonderfully revitalized. On the Riverfront there are countless little shoppes (you have to spell it that way) and restuarants. We wandered to our all time favorite place in Portland .., effexor withdrawal pregnancy. Powell's Books - the country's largest used book store. A couple hours of browsing and a bag of books in our hands and we were off back to the river front on the free cable car. That evening, rather than fixing our dinner in the fully laid out galley, we walked to the next dock and had terrific sea food at the Newport Bay.

The next day we set off back to the Columbia for the tiny town of St. Helens. The Columbia is a major river for frieghters. Our 57 foot boat felt large and roomy until we came alongside container ships, car transport ships and other cargo haulers. Their wakes tossed us around like a cork. The weather was perfect though. It was brisk as one expects Oregon in September to be, but there was just enough sun and cloud to be comfortable in our fleece vests, something we don't get to wear often in Florida. Zanax and effexor, St. Effexor withdrawal pregnancy, Helens is one of the stops that Lewis and Clark made on their expedition and they have a neat little memorial to them. It also has lots of antique stores which provided us with hours of enjoyment the following day. But its real claim to fame is the theater ... straight out of the 1940s. We had decided we would go to the 9:00pm showing the Invincible. (It's a good movie if you like human interest and football.)

At 8:55 we left the boat for the one block walk to the movie house. The theater staff (all three of them) were hanging around outside hoping they could go home. As we approached the manager (not over flowing with costumer service) breathed out her cigarette smoke and said, "If six other people show up, we'll run the movie. Can't afford to do it for less than 10 people. Even then it only covers half the cost." That made us feel all warm and welcome, but she did invite us to wait inside.
Over the next five minutes seven more people showed up, so with a heavy sigh the manager instructed the projector operator to go thread the film. They were stuck with 11 paying customers. I went ahead and bought as much popcorn, candy and soda as I could so that they could make some profit on the showing. So let this be a warning, if you ever get to St. Helens and you want to see a movie ... go to the early showing! They roll the sidewalks up after nine o'clock, I guess.
Moored at the public docks in St. Helens, we got to meet other boat travellers and local fishers. We watched one guy catch a couple sturgeon. I can't believe his rod didn't break! It was such a relaxing time. But late on the fourth day we cast off and made our way back to Scapoose for our last night on the boat. Lynda and I slept like babies in our berths. The gentle rocking with cool river breezes coming in the little port holes were a recipe for relaxation.
One of these days, why change doctor effexor, perhaps we will experience a cruise like millions of others on one of the huge cruise ships going out of Port Canaveral, but I'm guessing it is going to have a hard time competing with the terrific time we had on the Serene with Bob and Robyn.

Effexor and pristiq, Recently at a retreat in Oregon I tried out the zip line for the first time ever. The majority of the group at the retreat were 50-80+ years of age. Climbing onto the little disc that felt very inadequate and hanging on (most of us) for dear life as we careened over the ravine gully reminded me of my life in Christ. He is the foundation I build on and sometimes the foundation feels flimsy and inadequate. Yet He promised to hold me; a promise He continues to keep. The journey over the ravine was not exactly the same for everyone. Some went faster than others; some did ballet poses holding on with only one hand while displaying their beauty pageant smiles; others screamed in terror the whole way, effexor and pristiq. Some twirled around. Others zigged and zagged. Some closed their eyes as off they went scraping the foliage under them, trusting that at journey's end someone would catch them. And they did, effexor and addictions. Colleagues and friends were waiting. Effexor and pristiq, It was an important and sometimes dangerous job. I nearly collided with a tree, but for my friends who pulled me to safety. One catcher got a gash in his head (nothing serious) but he was wounded none the less. So it is for those who walk with us in Christ. We need them to pull us from danger and stop us when necessary. We need to be the kind of friend, too, who's willing to be wounded if it means the safety of another, effexor and pristiq.
Those who were most afraid held back at first, Effexor withdrawal list, but eventually, they, too climbed on. We went where we did not necessarily want to go. There was no controlling the ride. Sometimes the conference grounds dog ran under us barking and nipping at our rear ends. Effexor and pristiq, We couldn't steer and we couldn't stop. Our only "job" was to hold on and try to enjoy the scenery along the way. So it is with life. We hold on to Christ when we are His, effexor dafalgan. We let Him have the controls and we sit back and enjoy the ride recognizing that though everyone will careen through life's circumstances differently, we will all be caught and held at the end by Abba, who loves us equally and unconditionally.
(Borrowed and slightly changed from the account written by my friend Diana Stuhr who was also at the retreat.)
